Branding
Basement Gamer
Basement Gamer, or @TheBasementGamr is a gaming streamer as well as a cohost on the podcast Good Game Bad Game (GGBG). He wanted a rebrand to try and add more visual dimension to the overall look of his brand.

Logo:
The client requested the brand get a visual refresh from the original design, but utilizing the same color palette. They wanted to match the “electric” style that most gaming streamers have without looking exactly the same as them. We decided to take inspiration from electric neon signs which led to utilizing blank space a lot throughout the logo and other design assets. This made the design very interesting in that the assumed background color will be black a majority of the time since the branding exists for entirely digital purposes.
Streaming Elements and Scenes:
The client being a gaming streamer means they also requested visual assets for the stream itself. These scenes vary between being scenes that have webcam or gameplay on top of them, or are filler scenes that allow them to walk away from their computer briefly. For all of the scenes, I made a still and animated looping version to help keep viewers interested, especially when it’s the only visual on screen.
General Branding:
For branded visuals and icons, the client wanted to portray the variability of games which they play. To best represent this, I created simple illustrations of a variety of gaming consoles and controllers. These were also done with line work and negative space similar to the logo. These illustrations can be utilized as a pattern or signify the type of game the streamer is playing.
