Branding
Good Game Bad Game (GGBG)
Good Game Bad Game, or GGBG, is a gaming news podcast run by two long time friends who love to be in the know for everything gaming and tech. They represent the classic “rivalry” of Microsoft vs Sony gamers but will quickly admit they’ll try anything. It’s informative, it’s funny, and it will bring you all need to know about the gaming industry today. This podcast is available on all podcast streaming services.

The Logo:
Their logo was created within photoshop to appear hand drawn. The gaming industry, specifically gaming streamers, are known to use very electric or vibrant colors which I wanted to utilize while simultaneously differentiating the style of their graphics. This allows the duo to embrace recognizably bright colors within their branding without it looking like a majority of gaming streamers and content creators.
Youtube Looping Screen:
This podcast is audio only but to reach a greater audience they requested a screen that would “loop” visually while the audio played. They wanted an illustration that represented the two “sides” of the industry they each tend to be immersed in as well as some easter eggs that were personal to the podcast. Again we were able to utilize a vibrant color palette that compliments the gaming tech due to most of it being manufactured in black and white color schemes.
This illustration was done entirely in Adobe Illustrator and animated in After Effects to enhance the visual appeal. Additionally the team will be able to input visuals pertinent to what they’re discussing within the tv screen. I built a template within Adobe Premiere that they can easily swap out the imagery for the tv screen themselves.
